Steinhofgründe

This project is a combination of digital, analog and lumen prints. My artistic focus centers on creating luminograms using recycled, expired photo paper at Steinhofgründe and a sustainable developer called caffenol. Through this process, I capture the intricate shadows of nature, aiming to illuminate the beauty and significance of this specific location.

Collaborating with an environmental organization called Naturschutzbund Wien, I deepen my understanding of Steinhofgründe and advocate for its preservation. By visually portraying its importance through luminograms and other photographs, I spark conversations between those familiar with the site's ecology and those less so.

Embracing sustainability, I repurpose materials and emphasize mindful consumption in art. Each luminogram is crafted from recycled, expired photo paper, highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship in artistic practice. Using caffenol as a sustainable developer.

The original lumenprints, limited in size to 18x24cm, offer a variety of photographs in different sizes and mediums, ensuring a rich and diverse visual experience for viewers.

All photographs are untitled and I see them as a body of work.
