Flying Meadow

During my inaugural Artist in Residence at Artoll in 2023, I embarked on a project titled „A Flying Meadow.“ Amidst the residency‘s theme of ‚How to Get Lost,‘ I found myself adrift in unfamiliar surroundings for the first time. Drawing on my affinity for nature, I sought solace in connecting with the environment.

Feeling lost within the complexities of alternative photographic processes, I navigated towards techniques that resonated with me, including cyanotype. Opting for lightweight 15g paper, akin to the delicate sway of a meadow in the breeze, I captured 55 repetitive plants with nuanced shades. This exploration offered a fresh perspective on local flora, echoing the fluidity of nature‘s movement.
